Something they teach us in NLP is that every behavior has a positive intention. When you understand the intention, you can construct an appropriate behavior that satisfies the intention AND gives a desirable result.

I have yet to come across a repetitive or 'obsessive' behavior that did not have a positive intention driving it. Once the intention was satisfied, the behavior disappeared.

I realize this is a departure from my usual posts on reading, writing and ADHD, but as exciting as this is I could really use some help here
